"Build-a-Chair Home" Workshop

Fill your home with beautiful, customizable furniture - built by you at our Williamsburg workshop. Here's how it works:

First, choose your base design and wood species. You'll add more customizations during the workshop.

Arrive dressed for a mess. All of the workshops are designed for beginners and you're welcome to bring a friend (each ticket admits up to 2 people to build 1 piece of furniture together).

On the day of the workshop, we will teach you some basic woodworking skills, just enough to make sure you can complete your piece.

Once assembled, you'll get to select your customizations to make your piece truly 1 of 1. Modifications are specific to each piece but include woodburning, painting, monogramming, hardware choices, finishings, upholstery, and more. We will run you through all of it in person on the day of the workshop.

**Please note, our tickets are non-refundable. You must notify us at reservations@happy-medium.co at least 72 hours before your time slot in order to be eligible to reschedule. Otherwise, we will build your item for you and you can pick it up 1 week after the event.**

The Tack Trunk

Tack Trunks have historically been used by equestrians to organize and transport all of the accessories, or “tack,” for their horses. Tack Trunks also happen to be a beautiful, functional piece of storage design. The Happy Medium Tack Trunks are inspired by equestrian heritage (one of our founders is a horsegirl) and designed to be a beautiful, heirloom-quality storage piece that fits seamlessly into your life. Fill it with linens, off-season clothing, tools, knickknacks, art supplies, and more or top it with an upholstered cushion and use as seating in your breakfast nook.
